Chuck Morrison built his first the guitar in Boulder, Colorado in 1974, begining an 18 year career building guitars and mandolins which included founding Flatiron mandolins. During this time he moved from Colorado to Montana to Vermont. While in Vermont he also performed regularly as a solo and lead guitarist with several bands. He also taught music in the Vermont state college system for several years.
