A proponent of inclusive dance, Mary Elizabeth has gleaned insights and inspiration from her experiences as the artistic and executive director of Dance Express, as an occupational therapist, modern dancer, and eurythmist. For 30 years, she and Dance Express have responsibly produced dance and dance theatre productions, hosted adaptive dance workshops. made guest appearances, and in 2017, inaugurated annual regional inclusive dance convenings in Fort Collins. Named a Northern Colorado Woman of Distinction in 2015, a recipient of the Northern Colorado Community Ordinary Extraordinary People Award in 2019, and a Colorado Creative Change Leader in 2019, she notes “Each of us has a dancer waiting to share the light.”
