Prerequisites

• We expect you to have taken the basic course offered during the FCSW or you already understand the basic terminology of Angel/Venture Capital Investment.

The session is set to the ‘Intermediate’ level, but anybody in the planning stage of the business idea is welcome to attend to receive valuable information. If you are interested in the ‘venture’ business model, you know you will need investments to make your startup business idea to succeed. This means you need to get investors’ attention and interest for your business. There is a standard set of financial terminology all sophisticated investors expect you to know and understand; you will learn what they are and what they mean. If you have specific questions about the Angel/VC investment financial terminology, you can get the answers from Mike, who has seen hundreds of pitches and made investment decisions.

Financial proforma is often very hard for many entrepreneurs to develop. Mike has helped several startup businesses with proforma and answers questions from the audience.
